Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Joanne is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over six years of experience in mental health care, including one year as a nurse practitioner. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University in California, Joanne spent five years working as a psychiatric nurse before pursuing a master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner. Joanne has experience providing mental health care across the lifespan, working with adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations in various settings. Their clinical expertise includes treating a wide range of mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, trauma-related disorders (e.g., PTSD), and other mental health challenges.
Joanne takes a holistic and patient-centered approach to care, utilizing evidence-based practices, psychotherapy, and medication management to meet each patient’s unique needs.
