Mimie Valencia, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing compassionate, individualized mental health care.
Mimie began her academic journey studying Public Health at California State University, Los Angeles, where she developed an early interest in prevention, wellness, and the many factors that influence a person’s overall health. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, followed by her Master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from National University.

Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. Mimie believes effective psychiatric care begins with listening and understanding each person as a whole—not simply treating a diagnosis. She works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that consider their symptoms, health history, lifestyle, personal circumstances, and treatment goals.
Above all, Mimie strives to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable participating in decisions about their mental health care.
